Pasadena Wedding
A few images from a wedding I shot a couple of weeks ago. I wanted to title this post Fall Wedding, but being in LA the pictures don’t really convey Autumn. On the other hand the wedding was in Pasadena and it still amazes me how many great shoot locations there are in Pasadena. Turn any random corner in the old town area and you’re likely to find some old building, park, or even just a nice brick wall. There were a couple more locations I wanted to shoot at for this weddings, but we just didn’t have the time.
Gallery after the break.
Lightroom Camera Profiles
I use Adobe Lightroom to adjust my RAW images and when Adobe introduced the ability to use different camera profiles I played around with them as any camera geek probably would. At that time I found that I preferred the standard profile to the custom camera ones, so I promptly forgot all about them. Until recently that is. (The following is really only meant for camera geeks)
Update: After some more research I realized I made a mistake when I created the profiles. I’ve uploaded new profiles that were made correctly.
RadioPopper
I just got a new toy. A set of RadioPoppers. If you don’t know what they are, read on. This isn’t a review, I haven’t really used them yet (I just got them yesterday). It’s more of a first impression.
Short Explanation: RadioPoppers lets you control off camera wireless flashes using radio frequency (RF) instead the infrared light that the flashes natively use. Continue reading
A wedding at sunset
I created a Facebook page about a month ago and I’ve forgotten to mention it here until now. So anybody reading this, if you’re on Facebook please be my fan. New album option

What you see here is my new portfolio that I just got printed, which is also a demo of the photo book style album that I am now offering my wedding clients. Continue reading
Not wedding related but cool anyway
Valentine Wedding

I shot a wedding this past Valentine’s day and it turned out to be the type that wedding photographers dream of: Pretty bride at a beautiful location. The picture above is probably my favorite shot. See the gallery below for a few more shots including an infrared shot and a couple of lensbaby shots.
WPPI
I just got back from the WPPI show in Vegas and I’m still a little dazed. I don’t have any pictures of the show, because I learned long ago not to bring anything heavy to conventions. A colleague of mine, Elizabeth Etienne was speaking at the convention and had a booth there. She was nice enough to let me bum in her hotel room, so in return I helped her carry some stuff around. In between helping her, I got to wander around quite a bit and saw some cool stuff, well cool to wedding photographers anyway. What really surprised me was I bumped into a couple of photographers I knew and I never bump into anybody. I’m not anywhere near to being an established photographer, but I guess I’ve been around long enough to bump in colleagues at a convention.
Back to the show…. I saw quite a few things that gave me ideas for my business and actually bought a few items, one of which I’ll probably review later on. The coolest thing though is what Pocket Wizard came out with.
