On the same day that I was doing that self portrait, I was also testing a couple of new optics I got for my Lensbaby. A fisheye optic and a soft focus optic. Neither of these types of lenses would be something I would use very often, so it was never worth it to buy expensive full fledged auto focus ones. However, once in a while I would see a shot that makes me wish I had one of these lenses, so when Lensbaby released these optics recently for very reasonable prices (both together were under $250) I snapped them up. Test shot gallery after the break.

I use Adobe Lightroom to adjust my RAW images and when Adobe introduced the ability to use different camera profiles I played around with them as any camera geek probably would. If you’ve never heard of a Lensbaby, take a look at their website: http://lensbaby.com/

About month ago I had an older camera converted to an infrared camera. It took a couple of weeks and when I got it back I took it out for a few test shots. I can’t wait to use it for wedding shots.
